Quality of Output Testimonials

Quality of Output.

The output quality is as you would expect from an S-Video source - sharp with none of the interference and cross-colour that you experience with a standard composite video.   Sample stills are provided demonstrate the typical output you can expect.   These still were taken using a Miro DC30 video digitiser from either a Samsung 709 DVD player or a Sky Digibox.

The first of these three is from "A Life Less Ordinary", the second from "Ronin", and the last is from Sky News (Panasonic Digibox).

To demonstrate the picture quality from the converter further, here are some comparative images.   The images below were from the RGB to S-Video converter unit, using the RGB output from a Samsung DVD as the source.

Now the same scenes as above but from the native S-Video output of the Samsung DVD player.

As you can see, the output from the RGB to S-Video converter is of a very high quality.   Variations on brightness and contrast is normal when comparing different outputs of the same equipment, and can be compensated for via your TV.   To ensure no degradation in audio quality, audio is passed directly from the SCART input to two phono connectors for easy connection to AV equipment.
