Active as it actually copies the input. Video because it's for RGB, S-Video or Composite sources. Buffer because what you put in, you get back out. Twice! Far superior to SCART splitters which merely share the signal between your destinations and subsequently reduce the picture quality. Each SCART output is independent of the other which avoids problems found with distribution amplifiers where one amplifier is shared for all SCART outputs and which can potentially reduce picture quality.
Applications for the Active Video Buffer are endless. As an example, use the Active Video Buffer with the RGB to S-Video converter to allow you to retain a high quality RGB input to your TV and still have S-Video to your S-VHS/D-VHS recorder. Alternatively if you have a projector and TV, use the Active Video Buffer to keep both connected and reduce those hook-up nightmares! Where you require two video outputs and wish to maintain picture quality, the Active Video Buffer is the solution.
For flexibility with your cabling requirements, the Active Video Buffer is SCART based. One SCART socket is provided for the input with two SCART sockets for the outputs. This allows for the use of our high quality SCART leads or the flexibility to choose leads that meet your individual requirements.
Constructed with components from some of the world's leading manufacturers and utilising a high-quality glassfibre multi-layered PCB, this level of quality and detail is rare. Designed and manufactured by J.S. Technology in the UK.
The unit is self-contained and doesn't require any user intervention. Just plug in and go!
